THE GREATEST SHOWMAN (2017)

Best musical film ever, as in ever. I have watched a lot of musical films (because it's my favorite genre) but this one is exceptional especially the music, and the acting of course, by far the best album. My favorite actually was the opening, wow, I love the opening performance followed by the A Million Dreams solo perf by the young Barnum. I also love the performance of Jenny Lind (Rebecca Fergusson). The story is all about Mr. Barnum created a circus (for musical performances) and he conducted an audition for all talented people but freaks.

SOLACE (2015)

I have mixed emotions for this movie, the film is about a psychic doctor (who sees some future) into real events who works with the FBI to search a serial killer Charles Ambrose (plays by Colin Farrel). Yeah, I hate the part when Clancy (the psychic doctor) mercy killed his daughter if I understand correctly but the scene shows it was. I just don't like the story and the killer said (he kills because they should be dead). By the way, I love every scene that doctor clancy sees everything, the flashbacks. Medyo off lang ang editing and some effects, some of it medyo halata na.

The acting was superb for the part of Anthony Hopkins (plays as Doctor Clancy) but the others are not really good, and for me, the antagonist is not that effective, the sign cross irritates me. In the movie, we can see the lack of production but actually, it looks like well finished (but the editing for me is a little bit obvious). Well, overall the movie for me is still good, you might see some issues but still worth to watch at least.

ROMEO MUST DIE (2000)

Undeniably, this is my favorite Jet Li movie, also with Aaliyah, the story and action pack movie give me chills everytime I watched this. Oh, I miss these kinds of movies (with Jackie Chan of course). The story is referring to a gangster and a real state developer antagonist who killed Jet Li's brother who is a prisoner that time in Hongkong thus escapes investigating.

But for me, the movie is a little bit over in terms of editing and double stunts, just the story itself that makes it beautiful, cinematography wise (not good because of editing)

LOVE 911 "A KOREAN MOVIE" (2012)

Ooooh, this is by far my favorite Korean ROM-COM movie, but of course a little bit of drama at the end. I love how the story goes to show that even you are a professional, you can still make mistakes. I love their tandem, Go Soo and Han Hyo-joo are so cute together.

My fave part of the movie is where Han Hyo-joo starting to like Go Soo and she makes everything to impress him even though in a matter of life and death (but of course, in a comedy way. The Doctor is in love with a manly Firefighter that makes the story so cute. Nevertheless, the ending is happy, even though Mis-soo resigned as a doctor because she made mistake in her last patient that leads her to die and become guilty at the end, Kang-Il continues to be a Firefighter.

I watched this in tagalized version but I re-watched it on Youtube (with English Subtitle) and it was beautiful, feel good and a relax movie but with life lessons and a little bit of spice (drama) at the beginning and at the end.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

We intend to like mainstream movies/films, with sci-fi genres, but how about a life-changing story that may not true or a sci-fi as well but we can see a reality of it. That's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button movie, this movie is very uncommon, Benjamin (Brad Pitt) was born old but died as a baby (it is very out of curiosity) nevertheless I really love this movie, the story, the acting and script especially with one scene where life-changing events happen continuously and there are what-ifs, what if it is not really happened, there would be no accident.

Yeah, I really cried at the end, where Benjamin died that he can't do anything. This movie is everything to me, the story will inspire us all to live happily and to enjoy everything that we have today.

FORREST GUMP (1994)

This movie is easily one of my favorite movies of all time (included in my top 5's Fave Movies of all time). Forrest (played by Tom Hunk) is very good in terms of acting, of course, winning multiple awards including best actor in the Acadamy Awards (OSCARS) is a big deal.

The story is based on the novel which also titles with the same name, the story of life with Forrest will make you understand the way of life no matter harder it is and it was. The best line in the movie or quote is this "Life was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."

So many lessons in this movie, on how to love no matter what, on how to have faith, to have friends like bubba, be courageous, be everything that we wanna be. Truly said in the movie, run Forrest, run, because, for me, life is a race, we should run for our lives.

TITANIC "THE BEST MOVIE EVER"

Recently, I watched this movie on Fox Movies then I realized how many times watching this including when I was 7 years old on DVD. We all know the story, the true to life story of a Titanic, a giant ship that unsinkable but it was. But the real winner of the movie is the story of Jack and Rose, played by Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCarpio that touches the heart of everyone. The acting, cinematography (that time) was awesome. Of course, with the beautiful OST (My Heart Will Go On) that reaches no.1 at billboard hot 100.

There's also rumor that there will be part 2? Nah? Don't ruin the first one, the first one has an epic ending, happiness, sadness, romance, loneliness, love and emptiness. What story it will be if there is a second one? But of course, I do love to watch the movie over and over again.

SHINJUKU INCIDENT

Shinjuku Incident is a Chinese film that makes airwaves to the US and even to other countries in Asia like Japan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Korea and The Philippines as well, it tackles the life of migrants that are not really welcome in other countries. But the lead role (Nick) Jackie Chan changed his perception that everyone should be equal in terms of living. But one night, (Jie) played by Daniel Wu, a popular Chinese actor as well got beaten because of an illegal thing. And the riots start it all, the group of nick became vigilant and ready to fight their independence.

Just in the story alone, I am shook and the way the actors portraying their role was impeccable and they are really good. I just don't like the ending the way that all of the group from China died including Jackie Chan and the Japanese policeman trying to save him but he refuses and just said that they paid each other's debt (saving each other's life).

This Drama movie is all about brotherhood, love, friendship, and integrity, being part of the gang is just normal (in this movie) but protecting your dignity is the ones makes you unique and different from other. BTW, I love this movie so much and I have to watch this for 3 times (tagalized version)

BLACK PANTHER "WAKANDA FOREVER"

Genre: Fantasy

The movie that tells you how to follow your good spirit, yeah, this is a Marvel movie which we all know that it is a tale or fantasy. Yeah, I love this movie from the very first time I watch this on a cinema but for me, the ending is very predictable and because I don't want to watch it for the second time around. We also have to admit that Chadwick is very charming, I think that's one of the many reasons why this movie has sold the cinema especially here in the Philippines. By the way, this is the latest Marvel movie that I have watched so far (still hoping to watch Infinity War). Overall, the movie for me is good in my eyes and I could say that this is a good movie even though that it is very predictable.

A MONSTER CALLS - "NOT A HORROR MOVIE"

Genre: Tale/Drama

I don't know, But I really love this movie, I haven't cried for a movie in a long time. And visually everyone who watched this will be hooked up. And of course, children will love this.

This is not just the story of an ordinary boy and his imaginary monster. This is also about family, taking care of your loved ones especially - mother. The ending is the best when the boy trying to save his mother from falling into the big hole, I love that moment when he is trying to ask for a help with the monster. Emotionally, this movie is the BEST. Very highly recommended.

The acting of the boy is phenomenal, I just wondered if he got his first Oscars.
